Barton Brands, Now a Major Supplier, Charts a Bold Course for the Future
| --THE COMPANY'S MISSION & STRATEGY |
Having established itself within the top ranks of distilled spirits suppliers, Barton Brands, Ltd. is positioned for continued growth as it pursues an ambitious strategic plan to increase market share and enhance profitability.
Currently the fourth-largest distilled spirits marketer in the U.S., Barton has an extensive, broad-based portfolio of price/value and niche-market brands that appeals to a wide range of consumer tastes and meets the needs of retailers and distributors.
Over the past 12 years, distilled spirits consumption has decreased markedly and many once powerful suppliers have retrenched. Barton, however, has continued to grow its business through strategic acquisitions and internal brand development.
In 1995 Barton dramatically strengthened its overall market position with the purchase of a significant group of high-volume brands from United Distillers Glenmore. At the same time, through intensive sales and marketing initiatives, it has realized extraordinary growth for several of its existing core brands.

Barton has a network of approximately 250 distributors throughout the U.S. and most of these wholesalers have represented the company for more than 30 years.
